If anything is to be added to the syllabus, my vote would be for some games
or songs. Apparently the last syllabus revision removed such stuff. Since
I have not seen the syllabus, that is based only upon my recollection of the
course being offered several times in two different councils.
At least one course I knew of had a designated "games master" on the staff.
His sole purpose was to present games -- and sometimes songs -- at
appropriate intervals. Most of these were scheduled into the course. Some
were added at the spur of the moment if the students seemed to be getting
bored or tired.
It helps break up the monotony of some of the presentations (and presenters
<g> ), builds spirit, and adds some levity.
