Wednesday evening the olympic torch made it's way to Louisville, Ky. Coach Rick
Pitino carried the torch the final distance through an honor
guard made up of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. 11 Units were represented.
Each unit had 10 or more members present.
Don't know if this is true, but we were told that this is the only place
where scouts were formally involved as torch "Honor Guards". Word on
the street is that when Rick was asked to carry the torch that he
specifically asked the organizers to involve the scouts.
It was a long wait (the torch was 2 hours late), but the scouts were
proud to be holding their lighted candles and wave their small American
