I have noticed that you guys are afraid to promote something that
would be a benefit to our District. More often than not, I end up
recruiting a leader during the time of year when the Council or
district wont have any Basic Training for three months. I want some
good basic training material and even a tape that will give some basic
training and/or ideas during a time when these new leaders are unsure
what they have gotten to or they want to prepare themselves now.
Your afraid they will consider this their training but I believe the
self studying will encourage more Basic Training. And if it doesn't,
the policies for getting Training have not changed. I insist all my
leaders take Cub Scout Basic but I would love to have some material to
give these adults until the training comes along.
I am very interest in this idea and want more information to show our
I love this Scouting stuff.
