Once more ...
There are *no* one or ten or hundred "proper" ways to retire a worn flag.
The *only* prescription by the United States government is in these 28
36 U.S.C. 176(k): The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer
a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way,
preferably by burning.
Anything and everything else that might be added in creating a ceremony
should be based on *your* sense of good taste and respect. Let each ceremony
fit its own unique time and place and audience, not the reverse.
Those who are part of district and council training teams are urged to
include those few words of the United States Code in your handout materials.
