The posting on Sam McGee made me realize that some of you may not know about
resources available at your public library. Answering questions for people
is one of our basic services.
Libraries will have resources on camping, nature, parks and lots of other
things. If they don't have what you need they can probably borrow it from
another library somewhere.
Here in Beaver Dam we have a pretty good collection of Merit Badge
pamphlets--and not because I'm a Scouter because they were here before I
came to town and plenty of other public libraries have them too. They have
good basic information on lots of topics and they are easy to understand.
Did I tell you the best thing about it? It's FREE (at least in a manner of
speaking). Your tax dollars have already paid for it.
