I attended a camporee something along this line when I was a kid. As I
remember we spent the weekend in a "survival situation". This was in
spring--weather was good. As a District activity it was at one of the
Council camps and I'm sure that staff were keeping a close eye on everyone
and everything. Each person was allowed a groundcloth, knife, rope & one or
two other things. I don't think anyone of us ate much that weekend--we
cooked up some *very* small fish and ate whatever else we could find. Had a
great time but it needs a lot of Troop & District preparation.
