YES YES YES
Finally, Thunder Scout Reservation of the Flint River Council has a presence
on the World Wide Web. Already Thunder Scout Reservation is one of the
hottest BSA camp properties in Cyberspace. Hardly a week goes by when you
don't read something about the camp that is increasingly being called the
"Philmont of the South" on such diverse networks and Scouting areas as
Rec.Scouting, Scouts-L, America On Line's Scouting Forum, Compuserve,
Prodigy, and GEnie as well as dozens of scouting BBS's.
Thanks to our visable profile, Troops from across the Country have already
made treks to Camp Thunder, including many troops from our extended America
On Line Family of Scouters. Troop 301 from Texas & Scoutmaster Roel Arevalo
(ScouterA@aol.com) spent their Spring Break at TSR. Ray Harriott
(RayH028@aol.com), author of the best selling "Stories Around the Campfire"
and a Scoutmaster himself in Maryland will spend a week with us this summer.
Tons of Scouters from across the Southeast have been to our camp, especially
Alabama & Florida. Many of them first heard of Camp Thunder from the
Internet. Our own council is getting into info age high gear with more than
40 known America On Line subscribers and at least as many on other E-Mail
This is only a beginning, and a larger series of pages are planned. Our
current Homepages deal mainly with the Gerald I. Lawhorn Canoe Base, Training
& Conference Center. Home of the recently concluded Southern Region National
Camp School. Soon to be released are the home pages for Camp Thunder, on our
2200 acre Reservation in the Pine Mountain Range of Central Georgia. AND OF

Internactive Web Pages. Already over 2000 Catalogs have been E-Mailed and
hundreds of Scouters are now dedicated Virtual Store Customers. Our Summer
Camp Trading Post Remains the only BSA Camp in the Nation in Cyberspace.

Write us back with feedback & suggestions! This is only the first step. We
will soon be able to receive Staff Applications and Reservations on our
permanent official Web Site as well as interactive directions to camp from
any location in the USA. Together with our INNOVATIVE WINDOWS SOFTWARE,
Troops will be able to register for classes quickly & at the stroke of a
