As a long time amateur astronomer, MB counselor, That very bright
object in the western sky is the planet Venus. I have 2 scouts
currently charting it so I am very aware of it's nightly position.
I've been quite consumed with the comet, and haven't heard about the
asteroid, but I will look into it. There's no way I can see for an
Asteroid to be that bright tho...
