My Cubs made a pasta and hot dog stewfry ... very simply , get a large tray
( we used a cheap turkey tray ) and put in a little cooking oil, then
pasta shell, twirls etc. ( those multi-coloured twirls look nice) with
water and suitable flavouring ... vegetable soup mix with herbs and
seasoning is OK. Add tinned tomatoes and tomato paste to taste, and if
you wish tinned mushrooms. Cook the pasta for about ten minutes then add
chopped tinned hotdogs. Continue cooking until the pasts is soft , stirring
When we did it the kids made another pan as their own specially hot version
... they added garlic , two tablespoonsful of paprika , Worcester sauce etc.
and sampled it at each addition. They decided it still needed livening up , so
they added 1/3 bottle (yes, that's right) of tabasco sauce. OK , it was
a small bottle, but even so ...
They served it up , and ate it with considerable relish, coming back for
seconds. I had mine and it tasted good, even if it totally anaesthetised my
mouth for about ten minutes !
