Last year, 1995, the Long Rivers Council and Indian Trails Councils merged,
creating the Connecticut Rivers Council. Each council ran its own JLTC, Long
Rivers being the Colquit course, and Indian Trails ran the Silver Bar course.
After the merger, both courses were still scheduled, at different ends of the
summer, one right after school closed in June, the other just before school
started in August. The Council Training Committee decided that it would be in
the best interest of the council to continue to hold both courses, and to
continue to call them their respective names. The course content would be
the same for both courses and, as far as I know, is the standard JLTC
