When I joined the troop I had few friends , because I attended a school
several miles away. I suppose I was a natural target , being asthmatic
and having ADD ... I went through the hazing and initiation , but thirty
years later I can still feel the hurt.
I stuck it out , but a lot of kids didn't. When I became I Leader I
swore that no kid would ever suffer the way I did if I could help it.
I told the Scouts that any hazing would result in the offenders going home
