Well I got my invitation to attend Roundtable Training at Philmont and I
am making arrangments to go. I plan to attend the July 28-Aug 3 session.
Is anyone else going to be out there at that time?
My wife and daughter are on the fence as whether they want
to go. They are not outdoor types. Still trying to convince them.
My family is going the same week. I'm in Tigers, though repeating Round
was tempting. Ken is taking Strictly Cubmasters. Our eldest 2 sons have been
there before. They are really excited. This will be the first trip for the
youngest two. The facilities are not all that primitive, cabin tents on slabs
or platforms, cots with real mattresses and blankets. There is even an
electric light in the tent. Your wife will have so many things to do, she'll
never notice she living in a tent. You don't say what age your daughter is
but if she's older and not keen on hiking there is the craft building and
tours and shopping in Taos. See there with John, 15; Jason, 12; Michael, 8;
and Kayleen, 7!
PS Stop in La Junta for the Koshare Dancers, that is the one thing the
2 boys requested.

I used to be an Owl, but I'm married to a Bear. I don't know what that makes
me, but I'm grumpy when awakened!
