DD>Yesterday while talking to a scoutmaster, discussing pack / troop
DD>relationships, the scoutmaster felt that if a troop and pack were chartered
DD>by the same organization, that the pack out of loyalty to the chartering
DD>organization should encourage the Webelos to only join the troop attached
DD>to the chartering organization, and not allow them to visit other troops in
DD>the area. An additional comment made by the SM was that if you allowed
DD>them to visit other troops, the boys would go to a troop with a relative,
DD>friend, etc., and not to the troop the pack was affiliated with. He also
DD>indicated that he has a good program. Your comments.
Our case here was that the pack had assumed that they had an open door
at the affiliated troop. When it came time to graduate 10 boys the
troop said they only wanted 4 boys. Started a big problem.
