I had my Eagle COH jointly with another scout from our troop (would have
been two others, but the third guy had already started at USNA). I
don't think the ceremony or its meaning for me was at all compromised by
having it with another person. Besides, it often means that you can get
more dignitaries to show up, since they can "kill" two birds with one
stone. I think that the Eagle scouts and their families should feel
free to chose whichever one fits best for them.
