Just have to add my 2 cents in on this one.
We are one of "those" packs that runs Tigers like a den. ;)
Success rate for us is about 95% go on into cubbing and end up in a scout
troup later (95% rate of Webelos II to scouting).
We would like to see Tigers moved to Kindergarten and the Lion Rank
brought back for first graders. Our Kindergarten boys would benefit from
Tiger cubbing (the way it is suppose to be done). Most of our first
graders have been in some form of daycare since they were tots. they are
definitely ready and able to do more than is currently expected of them
as Tigers cubs - this is why our tigers come to all pack events, race in
the pinewood derby (one won the overall this year - the boy has been
woodworking with dad for 2-3 years). We average between 15-20 tigers a
year with a pack total of 110-130.
