I have a couple of questions about a ceremony for the Arrow of
Light that was posted here by John Bemis, back in January '95. The
ceremony was from the National Order of the Arrow conference, that he
I used parts of this for an AOL ceremony at our Blue & Gold pack
meeting/dinner. There were two parts that I wanted to use but I was
unable to find the "text" that went with the "instructions" in the
ceremony script. The script calls out for Chief Akala to read "The
Story of the Arrow", and a guard to read out the "Seven great virtues
of life" during the lighting of the seven candles/rays of light.
I plan on "re-using" this for a shorter AOL ceremony in our next
pack meeting. We will be "re-running" the awards. [ I won't go into
detail as to, on the 19th, Presidents Day, I went to the Scout Store to
pick up *all* our awards for the B&G *that night* :-(. At least we had
enough spare "cards". ]
Anyway, can someone "Out there" help me out with the description or
wording for these parts of this AOL ceremony:
1) The Story of the Arrow
2) Seven great virtues of life.

When I was younger, kids learned to count backward like this:
..5..4..3..2..1..Blastoff, "We have lift off!".
Now a days its like this:
..5..4..3..2..1..Beeeep, "Hey, the popcorn's done in the microwave !"
[ Sigh :-( ]
