Most of our graphics and files which have a problem making it
through several electronic "paths" are encoded using a format
called "UUENCODING". Eudora Light and Pro support UUdecoding
to an extent. I have found that I needed a separate decoding
program as a "addon" to my "essentials" (PKUNZIP is another).
I have a shareware program called "UUCODE" which runs within
Windows and another shareware program called GEO-UU which does
the same thing from within Geoworks.

When you have a uuencoded file within your message, you have to
extract it and then run your decoder. I have found that if a
file is attached, Eudora will automatically decode it for me; but
if a encoded file is within the posting, it Eudora doesn't touch
it and I have to do it "manually".
To do this from Eudora, go to File, Save As and give it a name
like "extract.uue". That "*.uue" part is important, as UUCODE
and other programs like it won't recognize the file otherwise.
Then use uucode to decode it.
Hope that helps!
