After "lurking" for a week or so, I would like to introduce myself.
I am currently COR for the Pack, Troop, Team and Post sponsored by an LDS
ward in West Jordan, Utah. I was previously ASM for the New Scouts in the
troop. Before that I was Varsity Scout Coach of a team in Vista, California
and later Scoutmaster of the troop sponsored by the same LDS ward.
As a boy, I "cubbed" in Redondo Beach, California; Reseda, California and
American Fork, Utah as our family moved around somewhat. My Boy Scouting
and Exploring days took place in American Fork, also, where I became an
Eagle scout in 1976, visited the 1973 National Jamboree (West) and attended
the 1977 National Jamboree. My fondest memories of those early days are my
experiences as a JASM. (My advice: if you have an opportunity to recruit a
JASM, do it. It's great for the JASM, the adult leaders and the boys.)
Personally, I am 34 years old, married to a wonderful woman and have three
stunning children (all girls ages 9, "almost" 7 and 18 months). I am an
architect employed by a major retail corporation after receiving my BArch at
USC and practicing in a medium-sized firm in Carlsbad, California. I enjoy
the outdoors, travel and literature (primarily mysteries and specifically
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle--does anyone know of a Sherlock Holmes LIST similar
to this one?).
BTW, is it just me or does it seem like scouters seldom have male children,
except before or after their scouting service? I always tell people the time
I spend "Scouting" is an investment in my future sons-in-law!
I am enjoying the LIST very much, although slightly bored by so much
Best regards to all of you.
