My name is Diane Meyer and I've been subscribed since February 19,
but haven't introduced myself yet. About time, huh? I am Cubmaster
for Pack 160 in Ames, Iowa, and Webelos Den Leader for my oldest
son's den. I've been with them since Tigers and have enjoyed it all
(well, mostly :-) !). My other son is in Kindergarten and has been
looking forward to being in Scouts for years! We start his Tiger
group next Fall and we even have a Den Leader already lined up. What
a relief, since I was planning to be Assistant.
I'm starting Scoutmaster Fundamentals tomorrow (I'm taking along a
list of patrol names I've gleaned from the list this month). . . can't wait for
the outdoor session, though.
Now, my question: I occasionally read references to Webelos Woods on
this list and want to know more about them. Our Council hasn't had
one that anyone I know can remember.
How can I go about getting one started?
Who sponsors it?
How long does it last?
Where do you usually have one?
What are the activities?
Anything else. . . .?
