Many Scouters object to beads being presented at Courts of Honor because
it is a place to honor boys. Many Woodbadge recipients however would like
their boys to be present during the presentation because they are the
reason for acquiring the beads.
I have seen presentations made during the closing ceremony of a District
Camporee a couple of times. It was a great tribute to the Woodbadger,
was witnessed by his Scouts, and also an excellent plug for Woodbadge in
front of all the Scoutmasters of the District.
I think it is an excellent idea to present beads as part of a District
