Suggestion: whenever he decides to step down, refuse to accept his
"retirement" (keep him registered as an ACM) and continue to list his
name on your unofficial roster as "Cubmaster emeritus". And make
every effort to ensure that Cubs who join the pack after this event
get to meet the man and understand what he did.
