The Issaqueena Festival is an annual event in Six Mile, South Carolina
(near Clemson, west of Greenville). The festival features live music, a
craft show, assorted entertainment, food vendors, and other activities for
the entire family. Also featured is the Native American Encampment. The
following Saturday, May 4th, is the date for Issaqueena's Last Ride, a
100+ mile bicycle tour, along one of the toughest courses in the
Once again, Six Mile Boy Scout Troop #134 will sponsor the Native American
Encampment at the festival. Interested scout units are invited. If you
have access to a teepee or other suitable camping gear, come and set up
for the weekend!
We will be setting up camp on the afternoon and evening of Friday,
April 26. Activities, including native dancing, will take place all day
and into the evening on Saturday, April 27. An evening fireworks show
will be visible from nearby Six Mile "Mountain". We will begin breaking
camp after breakfast and a short worship service Sunday morning, April 28.
