Oldest/Longest Serving Cubmaster???

I was talking with our Cubmaster last night, and our conversation raised a
few questions that I think the members of this list could help with.
Here's the situation:
Over 46 years ago, when our pack was just starting out, the organizers
asked a young man to help them out. Unbeknownst to him, they had all
agreed ahead of time that he would make a good Cubmaster. Well, after he
agreed to help, they sprung the news on him that he'd be the CM! Our pack
has never known another Cubmaster. He is 75 years young (76 in April) and
also teaches Sunday School at our church, organizes the community Christmas
tree lighting, leads the singing of carols, and many more activities than I
have space for.
I'd like to find out if he is the oldest (or longest continuously serving)
Cubmaster around. I understand some folks have asked this question of our
Council before (no follow-up or response) and National (no response that I
know of). How should I pursue this question? (Probably through the council
to make it "official", but that didn't seem to go very far)...Who has the
answer? (I presume National has that kind of data.)...AND Are they
willing/able to share such information? (Beats me)
I get the feeling that our Cubmaster will be looking for a replacement
after he completes 50 years of service. That'll make him 81. Maybe I'll
plan to miss that meeting...he'll be a tough act to follow! Needless to
say, we'll be planning one heck of a party.
Thanks in advance for your help.
