I would like to briefly state how I have benefitted on the internet for
1.it got me thinking about Jamboree 1997.
2.It has greatly helped me decide what staffing positions to avoid and
what to apply for as far as Jamboree volunteer staff.
3.Being Lodge Chief of my local OA lodge, I must at times communicate
with the Section Chief and Secretary, of whom live in Washington State,
over 1500 miles away....simple e-mail messages are faster than mail, plus
it is better than phone because I don't have to "catch" them at home.
I would like to comment that In my opinoin, BSA should encourage councils
to get on, and then BSA should make general info available, ie: jamboree
applications were late getting out, other ideas might be merit badge
requirements, but such not to risk loosing their copyright or having it
