Drug using adults

The discussion of drug use by Scouts and Scouters has raised some
interesting tho few new points.
What about the message we send the Scouts when some of us "sneak" off
to blaze up tobacco or openly consume caffeine? Some leaders (myself
included) make open comments about their coffee abuse and their
dependence on it's effects to get going in the morning.
Perhaps there is no absolute black and white on the subject. One
has to choose one's position and then live with it. I choose to
use alcohol, tobacco and caffeine in moderation. The latter in
moderation whether Scouts are present or not, the two former only
at non-scouting situations. That's the position I can live with.
BP was right. What ever our actions the boys are watching. We
should all take a moment once and a while to remember that.
Yours in the spirit of Scouting,
