Actually, Ted's problem is with the "DNS" which stands for Domain Name Server
(among other things). The DNS is basically a database which takes the Domain Nam
(in Ted's case "www.azstarnet.com") and returns the IP address (in this case
"22.214.171.124"), which Netscape needs to contact the web server. So the problem
wasn't with Netscape, or with the URL, the Name Server either timed out (a commo
problem), or reported that the Domain Name could not be found. The solution is
simply to check the domain name and try again a few minutes later.
Also, putting the "/" at the end is acutally faster, because the URL
"http://domain.name/etc" will cause a lookup for "etc.html" first, then when the
web server informs Netscape that "etc" is a directory, a second lookup for
