To John Pannell,
I hear what you are saying about adding additional requirements to make
Eagle....I'm not saying to do that....but I will not give it away.
>that the importance of the Eagle Award at the upper levels doesn't have the
maybe not to them, but to you and I and Mike Montoya it sure does. I am a
retired Naval Officer and have a chest full of medals...I have been all
around the world and have told people of the experiences I have had...where I
went to school, where I lived..what I have done and they all say .....ok
because people don't understand. When I tell them I'm an Eagle Scout, their
ears perk up..they remember when they were in scouting, and I can't count the
number of time that men have told me...I made life, star..2nd class and all
of the "if only's" I have also heard. But I am an Eagle Scout.
You say > Incase of an appeal...the boy gets the award.
this maybe true....but I WILL NOT CHANGE MY VOTE!!! He will go through life
as a Eagle with a vote record of (1) against.
Sorry that I yelled.... National are you on line???
