Please talk via your cubmaster or pack committee chairman to
your commissioner about getting a fast start session done by the
district training committee. This will bring everyone up to speed that
is getting "on the job" training. The training team will suggest that
you can have an in-house Cub Scout Leader Basic Training (4.5 hours in
2 nights). They will prety happy about being able to get a large number
of new leaders trained. Then, the focus of the roundtable will get their
attention, the new leaders, and they will start attending.
From experience, on0ly a few leaders from your pack will attend the
roundtable and the supplemental training that your district provides unless
you encourage them and offer support (car pooling/babysitting). If you
can do these support operations, you will be very happy about the
