How to kill a Scout Troop

There's another new page on the Gaelic Wolf Scouting Pages, in the
Serious Side of Scouting section. This one deals with the reasons older
Scouts leave Troops, but it also has application for other Scout Group
sections (Cubs and Venturers, mostly).
It's called How to Kill a Scout Troop, but it goes on past the negative
methods to give some suggestions on how to recover from the pitfalls. No
Scout Group is immune to these problems, and most have at least one or
two of them. It's when you get more of them working in combination tthat
you find yourself losing your older Scouts to sports and some of the
other attractions in adolescent life.
Once again, I probably have not covered all of the "good" problems, and
would like to ask you to help me come up with a few more, along with a
few suggestions about how to counter them.
Take a look and tell us what you think, eh?
