Today let us all reflect on what God has given us. What are you Thankful
for? Pass your items around and let us all reflect on them.
As a Christian, I am first thankful for Jesus and what He did for us.
As a husband and father, I am thankful for my wonderful wife of 26 years (20
years following me around in the Army) and my 13 year old son. He got me
back into the most wonderful orginization in the world, Scouts.
As an American, I am thankful for the freedom we have. The freedom to
worship as we please. The freedom to elect our government leaders (we
sometimes don't do such a good job.) The freedom to go when and where we
want without governmental approval. This list can go on and on.
As a Scouter, I am thankful for the men and women who put so much of their
time into helping young men and women grow into adulthood.
As a Scouter, I am thankful for the young men and women who grow into adults
and return some of what was given to them.
But most of all, I am thankful for God who loved us so much that He sent His
Son so that all who love Him might be saved.
God Bless each of you on this Thanksgiving Day.
A Scout is Reverent--Make it a Godly day and week.
