Well, the 5th Patch Challenge contest is coming to an end. I will
continue to accept stories until December 1st. I'm sorry for not
shutting this down sooner, but life has rallied for my time.
Anyone who still would like to enter and needs a copy of the challenge,
just drop me a note.
To date I have entries from (in order I have received them):
If you have sent me a story and your name is not on this list,
please be so kind as to resend it as I hear my freenet had a
major system crash and am only now finding out some mail and some
saved files were lost. (I think one was lost, I'm sorry.)
Realizing (too late!), the personal nature of all of these
stories, I cannot post them to the list. Every one has been sent
to me personally and with me they will stay. When I post the
winners list, I will mail the top 4 stories back to the winners
and they will have the option of posting to the list. Please
realize these stories are emotional and dredge up past feelings
many would prefer to forget, but I can assure you they all prove
that the work we are doing as scout leaders is making a
difference in someone's life even if we don't realize it. It
also proves the caliber of people we have here represented on the
list. You should all be proud of yourselves.
