While it would appear obvious that the assistant leader designated to
coordinate the unit's YP program would have to have been YP trained, I
don't believe that the QU requirements state that. There was a discussion
here a month or so ago, and I believe the conclusion was that, even though
the articles in Scouting said the coordinator must be trained, the QU
requirements do not require it and that national has indicated that the
requirements on the QU form govern. Unfortunate, but true.
There also seems to be all sorts of confusion about various YP tapes as to
length, audience, etc. Can someone post, as requested, the AV #'s of the
various versions of the YPT tapes, when they were in effect, what the
target audiences are, etc. It seems that I have heard all sorts of
varieties of thoughts around here lately.
