In response to Cliff Golden's quite extraordinary list of Eagle projects,
I agree with all but two. And feel they are worthwhile except those two.
I hate Blood Drives. I am Eagle Chairman and soon to be District
Advancment CHairman. I have denied a recent candidate a Blood Drive.
How do you show leadership? I don't think the scouts can or should have
too much to do with the donors, both for medical and ethical reasons.
Too much controversy over disease, etc. They can do flyers and secure a
place to do the drive. Most drives are done with mobile trucks. They can
give out the OJ and cookies. How many different ways are there to give out
cookies? I hate blood drives.
The idea about straightening cemetary markers. UGHHHHH! Fixing pot
holes, OK. But I also think most cemetaries would have a problem with
