Hello. I have been reading this list for a couple weeks and guess I am
finally willing to make myself known by sending an introduction.
My name is Susan Cunningham. I have been an active Scouter in Hawkeye Area
Council since 1979. Over the years I have worn many hats on both the pack
and troop level, also unit commissioner, Provisional Scoutmaster at Boyck
Scout Summer Camp, campmaster, chairman or staff for numerous district
activities, etc. I am a member of the NE426WE beaver patrol. Currently I'm
serving the council as the Boy Scout Outdoor Program Chair of the Camping
Committee. I am Lodge Secretary Advisor for Cho-Gun-Mun-A-Nock Lodge.
I was involed with Girl Scouts as a youth, but unfortunately did not
continue past cadettes as my troop folded and I had trouble fitting in
to a new troop that I tried where all girls had been together since day
My husband, David, has been Scoutmaster since 1983 of Troop 57 in Spring-
ville, a town of about 1,000. We have three sons who have all been very
active in Scouts/OA. The youngest turned 18 this year. Having the entire
family active in Scouts has been great. We've shaved lots of great experiences
over the years.
I enjoy reading this list and have picked-up several tips. Thanks to all
