One word of warning--If a boy is working on his Eagle Scout Requirements,
the National Office will NOT accept Leadership Corps as a valid troop
office to meet that requirement. Be sure to have boys in an official
position for the 6 months required for Eagle. I made an error on an
application shortly after the Leadership Corps was deactivated, and the
application was returned. I corrected it to show the actual position
held after the Leadership Corps cutoff date and everything was fine.
I do miss the Leadership Corps. It worked well for us. We now use the
position of Instructor more, but it doesn't have the same impact as the
SM, Troop 7
