Most body heat is lost via the head. If you are cold, put on a cap, even if it
your toes that are cold.
Do not sleep in the same clothes that you have been wearing all day. Even if
they feel dry, they will have moisture in them. This is especially a problem
with younger scouts, or anyone else for that matter, who may not want to get
undressed (especially in a cold tent) just to put on something else before
climbing into the sleeping bag. It is better to be cold for a minute or two rat
than all night.
