A week or so ago I was browsing through an antique/junk shop which had
apparently acquired the african hunting trophies of some long gone baronial
sort and discovered a nice pair of mounted kudu horns (no head, just a bit
of the skull and 2 horns) (I'm PRETTY sure they were kudus -- about 3 feet
long with a nice spiral). The person in charge didn't know the price and I
had to leave town, but I'll check back at Christmas time.... Kudu horns are
used in Wood Badge courses, etc. and I wouldn't mind having one for that
reason, but: does anyone know what a REASONABLE price would be for a pair?
How does one detach them from the skull without damaging them, and likewise
for making a real horn of one??
