I have been reading the thread that has once again raised its head here in our
In Australia we have a problem with what is actually being said, we have an Act
of Parliament here called the Equal Opportunites Act, it has many facets to it.
One however which does concern me is the way that often someone will get very
vocal in the open forum making what is calssified in Australia as sexist and
derogatory remarks, for those who understand the laws in question you will
Please if you want to have a hands up drag them down fight about whether or not
girls should join Scouts (the term Boy in our Scouts "HAD" to be removed in the
mid-1970's) - fine. BUT take it to e-mail, this area is public and is
monitored, I no longer reaf the messages but delete them straight away, it is
an offense for me to have those messages on my machine.
So please show some common sense and lets think before we get carried away.
I do not wish to cut my feed, this is a brilliant area, I get an awful lot out
of it. I you wish to discuss this with me, I am only too happy to do so - BUT
TAKE IT TO EMAIL!!
