The 28th is specifically billed as A Salute to George Washington; Scout
Troops in uniform or with a valid membership pin (?) will be admitted
at no charge. At 9:30, 11 and 3 there will be a parade to the Tomb;
Scout troops in uniform may join the procession with or without their
Troop flag. If your troop wishes to bring a do-it-yourself wreath to
place at the Tomb, please call 703-799-8604. She offered to mail me a
packet of information.
There is also free admission for Troops doing the Land Survey (MB?).
Call number above for reservations.
You may earn a Mount Vernon Trail Patch, but I didn't get the details.
Call same number.
For ANY other reason such as hours, etc, dial 703-780-2000 for their
automated info system.
IF you lose these numbers, try the Northern VA telephone directory under
Mount Vernon Ladies'xxx.
Hope this helps someone!
