Gary Calvert asks while discussing collecting Council Shoulder Patches,
<<<Not counting special event strips, just how may plain CSP's.>>>
As Carl Sagan used to say, "Billions and billions."
With patches being such a good money maker now, I would venture to guess that
if you collected one CSP a day, just from this point onward, you would never
run out. As an example, Boulder Dam Area Council celebrated its 50th
anniversary last year. How did we celebrate? Why with patches, of course.
We started the year with our "regular" CSP, then we had the 50th ann.
"regular" CSP with the silver border. Then we had the commemerative set of
three (the wildlife, industry, and felt casino CSPs, all with a gold mylar
border). By the end of the year, our "regular" CSP became the 50th ann.
"regular" CSP with a purple border. Whew! And thats just one council!
There are also merged councils, and councils whose CSPs you buy from the
council office are different from the CSPs you buy from National!
And then there are OA patches... :-)
