Are you concerned because you have "no leaders" who have received
the new revised youth protection training? If this is the case, perhaps
the most important thing to be concerned about is not whether or not
your Pack qualifies as a quality unit, rather whether or not your Pack
leadership should request that your District Training Staff come to
your Unit ASAP and run that training session for your leaders.
Dessimination of the concepts in YPP are more important than the
quality unit patch. Of course, if your folks get the training, then there will
be no problem.
As a Chartered Organization Representative, responsible to our
Chartered Organization for approving all leaders within our Scouting
program, five months ago I informed all of our currently registered adult
leaders that the Chartered Organization would not approve their charter
renewal if they had not received the new revised Youth Protection
Training. Recharter for us is coming up in January, and we are almost
