What is the nature of the disabling condition?
The first thing to stress is that one should focus on the
Scout's abilities which may even supplement shortfalls in
the rest of the Den's or Pack's aptitudes.
Check with your Scout Shop. I believe there are several
publications for the Cub level.
At Scout level there are:
Disability Awareness Merit Badge.
Scouting for the Hearing Impaired. #33061
Scouting for the Blind and
Visually Impaired. # 33063
Scouting for Youth with
Emotional Disabilities. # 33008
Scouting and the Learning Disabled,
A Manual for Scout Leaders # 3065
and several more....
There has also been much discourse on Scouts-L on ADD and
other discrete disabling conditions.
