I have one Webelos Scout who is active in karate, but not any of the sports
that are covered under the Cub Scout Academic & Sports Program. He is devoted -
attends lessons and adheres to a practice schedule. Can he get some kind of
Sports Loop or Pin?
Sports, other then the recognize 21 sports, can be use if two conditions are
1) The sport must be recognized and organized. This means the Scout is
participating in that sport legitimately,ie not throwing each other around at
2) The Scout must have the committees' approval.
After one and two the Scout must follow the same 30/60/90 rule. He has 90 days
to get 60 points. One point for every 30 minutes of playing/practice time.
Maximum of 5 points per day.
When this is complete, the Scout qualifies for the physical fitness pin.
FYI: I have been Nationally trained in Cub Scouts Sports.
