Rest assured that the majority of us are human, know our scouts and
parents and agree on the aims of scouting and good values. But, the fact
is you, your committee, your chartered organization, council, etc. can be
held responsible in a court of law. As much as I love scouting, I must
take every step to protect my Scouts and my family. It is important to
note that in this day and age many "friends" are suing each other and it
is easier to sue a stranger. Safety First was never more important and
permission slips and current medical forms help.
