I have used netscape the review the NEW plans for a table and patroll
box. I have seen a simular table, and it works well, with 2 tables
for an 8 scout patroll.
The basic box desing is the same as I have seen before. The LEGS
design is NEW to me. A design that I have most often seen used
DECK stock or 5/4 (five quarter) by 4 inch stock for the legs.
Then BOLTS with wing nuts are used to 1) hold the legs on the side
in the standing position, and 2) bolt them to the top and bottom for
a) secure storage, and b) handles to carry the boxes. (the basic
BOX is the same, you just need to lay out the legs and drill holes
for bolts with wing nuts) I guess an advantage to the design on
the WEB, is that you can still use the box, without a problem if
someone lost the wing nuts, or drops the bolts in the dark.
I have also seen a patrol box desgin (TOM are you there?) that
opens in the FLAT or horizontal mode, and has a built-in place
for a propane stove. If intterrested, I see if I can load
a copy of those plans.
