The actual recorded date of the Eagle Scout's advancement in rank is the
date that the board is passed and this is the date used by national as
well as the unit.
However, the Scout is still an Eagle Candidate until the date of the
Court of Honor when he is officially CHARGED as an Eagle Scout. It is
then that the Scout becomes an Eagle Scout.
