Interestingly, that's what happened to ours, also. He had been here about
5-6 years, progressed grom jr to senior DE, and had married a local woman
with a career. Word was his "tenure" here was up and he had to move to a
different job in Scouting "or else...". His reputation in the area was so
good (I understand he was routinely turning down local job offers over the
years) he picked up an executive position with the local United Way at
considerably more money. (I wonder if the BSA personnel policy department is
aware what decade they are living in?)
