On the WWW there is one site that has a lot of discussion on camping
and backpacking. One of the recent really hot issues has had to do
with ground cloths. Now, I always thought that the groundcloth went
on the ground and the tent was then pitched on top of it. But there
seems to be a lot of folks who put the ground cloth inside their
tents! This is rather strange to me but then again, maybe there is
something I don't know or perhaps there is a good reason for it.
Anyway, in that group the opinion seems evenly divided between those
who put the cloth under their tent and those who put it inside.
I know the Scout handbook calls for it under the tent. Are there any
'inside the tent' folks out there and if so, what are the reason(s)?
