I have been involved with the Junior Leader Training Conference here in the
Great Southwest Council for several years. We are currently using the staff
guide produced by national for the week long conference.
We are always trying to make the conference better. I would like to solicit
the help of Scouters who have experience with the week long Junior Leader
Training Conference and are using this newsgroup. We have been struggling
with the following questions:
How do you make the learning sessions for the leadership skills within JLTC
less of a "academic" experience? What type of different discovery
experiences or applications of the leadership skills would enhance the
learning experience for the Scouts?
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
