At our District Committee meeting last night, our District
Commissioner told us that unless you have _confirmed_ reservations to
stay overnight at the NH Jamboree, DO NOT COME! The camping areas are
full, and there is simply no more room to _safely_ put campers. In
fact, they will not be admitting any Boy Scout day visitors to the
Jamboree on Saturday because of the number of Scouts that have already
OTOH, they _will_ be admitting Cub Scout day visitors on Saturday
whether they have preregistered or not.
According to our DC, they have approximately 5200 Scouts with
reservations for camping out, but they expect the actual count to be
closer to 6000. Note that those numbers do not include any
guesstimate of the number of day visitors on Saturday.
